Detroit
Diesel Series 50/60
A
part number is located on the small metal bracket that is
holding the solenoid to the injector. If this part number is only
4 digits, then add the prefix '523' to get
a complete part number. For example: An injector with the code
5575 would be part number 5235575. Do not confuse the part number
with the 2 digit fuel code that with some injectors is also stamped on
this same tag. |

Cummins
Celect
The complete part number is located on the top of the nozzle
retaining nut, closest to where it meets the injector body. Due to
the methods used to mark these injectors, it can sometimes be very
difficult to read. If this is the case,
searching by CPL number should also yield the correct injector. |
CAT
3406E
The part number is located on the top of the cam follower.
There are usually 2 numbers etched here. One is the part number,
the other is a serial number / fuel code, and it is sometimes difficult to determine
which is which. If you look at more than 1 injector the common
number would be the part number. |
CAT
3412E HEUI
The part number is located on the top of the solenoid, which faces
to the side. There are usually 2 numbers etched here. One is
the part number, the other is a serial number, and it is sometimes
difficult to determine which is which. If you look at more than 1
injector the common number would be the part number. There are
only a few different variations of this injector. |
CAT
3116
The part number is located on the top of the cam follower, or on the
injector hold down bracket. If this does NOT provide any part
number information, we will need an engine serial number to provide the
correct injector. |
Cummins
PTD / PTB / PTC / STC (All Except Flange Style)
The part number is located in the same area as the injector screen.
On older injectors, part numbers were not used, but a fuel flow and cup
designation was used instead. If this is the case for your
injector, you will need to contact us for help.
Adding to the confusion, each separate part on these injectors may have a part number stamped on
it, but it is the number by the screen that is the actual injector part
number! |
Detroit
Diesel 53/71/92
The injector "tag" number is located on a small tag installed in the
side of the injector. This is NOT the part number, but a
search of our database with this tag number
should locate the proper injector. If this tag is missing, you
will need to contact us for help. |
John
Deere / Volvo
Cat 3176 / CAT C Series
For all of these injectors, the part number is located on the side
of the solenoid. In some cases (Cat 3176) it is on a label that
has been glued to the solenoid. The solenoid may also have a fuel
code number, and a serial number so it may be difficult to determine
which number is the actual part number. Looking at more than 1
injector will usually help to determine which is which. |
Cummins
5.9 Common Rail (Dodge Trucks)
The injector part number is a 10 digit Bosch number. If there
is no number stamped on the injector body, the last 3 digits of the part
number can also be found on the top of the stator or solenoid. We
can provide the complete injector number if we know these 3 digits. |
CAT
3116/3126A HEUI
The part number is located on the top of the solenoid, which faces
to the side. There are usually 2 numbers etched here. One is
the part number, the other is a serial number, and it is sometimes
difficult to determine which is which. If you look at more than 1
injector the common number would be the part number. |
Duramax
2004+ 6.6 Engine
The injector part number is a 10 digit Bosch number. The
number may be almost impossible to read, and we have seen many injectors
with no number at all.
Another method of determining the part number is by the wire connector.
See the different possibilities here. |
Duramax
2001 - 2003 6.6 Engine
The injector part number is a 10 digit Bosch number. |
Ford
Powerstroke / CAT 3126B / Navistar 466E / 530E HEUI
The part number is located on the top of the solenoid. There are usually 2 numbers etched here. One is
the part number, the other is a serial number, and it is sometimes
difficult to determine which is which. If you look at more than 1
injector the common number would be the part number. |
Cummins
PTD Flange
These injectors do NOT usually have part numbers stamped on them.
To insure the correct injector is ordered, we will need all the numbers
that are stamped on top of the injector. This includes a) the body
part number, b) the injector flow code, and c) the cup designation.
Examples are: a) 128110, b) 132, and c) 8-7-17 This information is
included in our catalogs, but due to the many different variations we
list only the most common applications. We suggest that you
use our
application
to locate the proper injector. |
GM
6.2-6.5 / VW / Mercedes
These injectors have either a Robert Bosch or a Delphi part number
as well as a body code stamped on them. In addition to these
numbers, the injector may also have a colour coded ring between the
retaining nut and the injector body. If you cannot locate the
proper injector this way, you may wish to use our
application list instead. |
Ford
6.9/7.3 IDI
These injectors have either a Stanadyne, Ambac or Delphi part number
on them. In addition to the part number they also have a body code
stamped on the 'Hex' portion of the body. In some cases both of
these numbers are needed to provide the correct replacement. You
may also wish to use our application list
instead. |
Stanadyne
Pencil
Most Stanadyne pencil style injectors have a 5 digit part number,
plus a 2 digit date code stamped on the body just above where the line
connects to the body. The stamping is quite small, and normally
the injector body needs to be cleaned, and the paint removed before you
will be able to read these numbers. Some injectors (most notably
Caterpillar) will have the part number etched on the line nut. |
